Teri Ijeoma grew up in Dallas, Texas, in a modest environment raised by a single mother and grandmother who emphasized the importance of education to become successful.

After starting her professional career working in education, Teri worked for Teach for America and eventually became an assistant principal at a newly founded school. While she found the work in education incredibly fulfilling, in early 2017, she felt massively burnt out and trapped by the financial constraints of maintaining a job in the education sector. On top of that, a close friend suddenly died which forced her to reassess her life. She decided that life was too short and it was time for a change, especially if she wanted to fulfill her dream of traveling the world.

That decision became the impetus to her life-changing transition from working a 9-to-5 to becoming a full-time trader.
